OpenDesign

At OpenDesign, originally known as What U Want, Inc., I worked with a graphic designer to create the company's first Web site in less than one week's time. Early on, I also created product prototypes with Flash and DHTML.
After a short while of working as a freelancer there, I was hired on full-time as an application developer. Using their own unique (and very cool) technology platform, I developed Internet applications including an instant messaging client, a file sharing application and several Web browser utilities.
Problems solved:
The applications I developed for OpenDesign were 'intelligent' client-side Internet applications, different from most of today's server-side Web applications. In developing my apps, I always made sure to take advantage of this — I came up with features that couldn't be done with a Web browser or a Web site.
Technology used:
- XML
- JavaScript
- HTML / DHTML
- Flash
- CVS / WinCVS
